25 January 2013
An independent survey indicates a huge proportion of visitors to MACH2010 plan to purchase new manufacturing equipment over the next 3 years. When asked how much they plan to spend, over 83% said up to £250,000 in the second half of 2010 and nearly 71% were expecting to spend the same again in 2011.
Last month, the MTA commissioned an independent survey to assess how many visitors are expected at MACH2010 and whether or not they plan on purchasing capital equipment. The survey was sent to a broad section of visitors to MACH2008 and the results are overwhelming - MACH2010 visitor numbers are expected around the same levels as last year, with a huge proportion planning to acquire new manufacturing
equipment in the second half of 2010 and throughout 2011.
Over 91% of people responded positively when asked if they intend to visit MACH2010, with a whopping 61.5% saying they definitely plan to attend.
75% of people agreed when asked if they believe MACH2010 is the best place to find new suppliers of manufacturing equipment. Of that number, nearly 20% would strongly agree.
78% plan to purchase new capital equipment over the next three years, with over 94% saying their decision will be influenced by their visit to MACH2010!
88% said the new equipment is to improve existing manufacturing processes, to expand current capacity, or to replace existing equipment.
