PCB Piezotronics has launched a
high frequency accelerometer that
operates to 30kHz for gear mesh and
bearing fault analysis.
The 621B40 works with online or portable monitoring systems to provide reliable vibration monitoring.
It operates to 30kHz even with a magnetic mount and captures high frequency gear mesh faults.
Due to the sensor's high frequency range, it is suitable for measurements on high-speed compressors, gear boxes and turbomachinery. With a magnetically mounted 621B40 supplying a response to more than 30kHz, a vibration analyst can obtain precise measurements, revealing high frequency phenomena. For higher frequency measurements the 352A60 sensor has an upper frequency range of 60kHz at ±3dB.
