PiezoBeam technology to provide a
high degree of sensitivity to size ratio
for a wide range of applications
including modal analysis and seismic
measurement.
The Type 8640A IEPE (Integrated Electronics Piezo Electric) sensors are available in three ranges; 5, 10 and 50g for accurate measurements in the frequency range 0.5 to 5000Hz.
The bimorph piezoceramic sensing element with built-in temperature compensation is combined with an integrated Piezotron charge converter compatible with most current line drive front-end systems. Low noise and low interference ensure a high resolution of up to 140µg.
The cube shaped titanium body is hermetically sealed and facilitates mounting in any position using adhesives or wax to attach the sensor to the test surface.
