storage solutions, Dexion has added
a Warehouse Intelligence System
called C-WIS to its portfolio.
Launched at the recent IMHX show, the C-WIS is a control system that enables the user to continuously optimise warehouse functionality.
Dexion believes any company with a WMS or ERP system would benefit from C-WIS as it says the initial creation of a warehouse operation may not always be the optimal setup.
Operating as a cockpit, which collects and processes information from a user's system, C-WIS recreates a 3D simulation of the entire material and work flow for the warehouse based on real data. This lets the company optimise stock locations, investigate staffing and service levels, working methods, forklift truck type and use, and picking routines.
Potential changes can be simulated prior to implementation to assess their effectiveness.
