Toyota Material Handling's BT Pro
Lifter hand pallet truck has been
voted Popular Winner: The
Professionals' Choice after initially
winning the Industrial Trucks
category in the IMHX Design 4
Safety Awards 2010.
The winner was announced on the final day of IMHX which took place at the NEC in November.
The BT Pro Lifter hand pallet truck is said to require up to 67% less starting effort than a standard hand pallet truck. Using Pro Start Technology, a quick pump action of the tiller arm transfers power to the truck's steering wheels which then turn a third of a revolution to overcome inertia and get the user on their way. Risk of operator strain is reduced.
Congratulating Toyota, James Clark, secretary-general of BITA, presented the award to Tony Wallis, operations director of Toyota Material Handling and said he was delighted so many show visitors took the time to vote for a 'Popular Winner' in the inaugural Design 4 Safety Awards.
