Hayward Tyler Group, manufacturer of bespoke pumps and motors for the power generation and offshore oil and gas markets, has uprated the power infrastructure at its core testing facility in Luton.

The company has seen a rise in demand for its high power pumps and motors during recent years and in turn, there has been a significant increase in electrical testing on new units and installed units commissioned for testing by the service division. The company currently manufactures units in excess of 2.5MW.

The original equipment and cabling was becoming increasingly unreliable and so the investment has been made to lay and bury new cabling to prolong its expected lifespan. The replacement cable and new switchgear will enable the company to test units up to and over 2.0MW
