Brammer has clinched a contract to
supply a range of MRO products to
brewing and distilling giant Diageo.
The deal covers 37 facilities in Scotland, four in Northern Ireland, and the packaging, canning and bottling plant at Runcorn.
Already, Diageo has been able to reduce its supplier base in many MRO product categories, such as bearings, and cut purchasing admin costs through a self-billing system.
Diageo had recently embarked on an internal Asset Management Improvement System and views the effective sourcing and management of MRO spares as integral to the success of this initiative.
"Brammer's response in the opening months of this venture has been fantastic", says Tony McCartney, supplier performance manager. "The level of co-ordination, energy and focus required to deliver to a very complex array of sites, processes and stakeholders has been exceptional."
