Bevelling machines introduced

One of the most respected bevelling machine ranges is now available in the UK from Surface Technology Products in Birmingham.

All of the more than half a dozen models are designed for one man operation, either self propelled or manually fed.

There is no limit on the length of plate which can be machined, and maximum plate thickness is 50mm.

On flame cut plates slag has to be removed before bevelling can start.

Cevisa bevelling machines are mounted on a spring loaded undercarriage with alignment mechanisms which automatically compensate for uneven work surfaces.

All Cevisa models use a rotary shear cutting action and meet V, X,Y, K weld joint preparation requirements. Bevelling is done by low speed rotating milling tools at approx. 2m/min.

Cutters can last up to 2000m for mild steel and 1000m for stainless steel. Cutters can be re-ground and are easily replaced.

The operation is virtually without noise, dust or fumes. Bevel angles from 20 degrees to 45 degrees can be produced.

CEVISA bevellers are said to solve health and safety problems associated with angle grinders and produce consistent results not possible with angle grinders.
