Thorworld Industries has
introduced optional low
energy LED bulbs for its
Standard Plus Dock Lights as a
cost-effective, energy efficient
alternative to the existing 80W bulbs.
This introduction continues Thorworld's drive towards enhancing sustainability across its product range, as well as supporting customers' own environmental policies by offering 'green' solutions wherever possible.
Compared to standard halogen bulbs, the 12W LED bulbs are said to deliver an energy saving of about 85%. At the same time, they have no adverse effect on light quality, with a comparable standard of illumination to halogens (over 1000 Lumens).
The lifespan of an LED bulb is as much as 50,000 hours, which in turn ensures reductions in the replacement of consumables for a lower overall cost of ownership.
