Yard safety boosted

Richard Sullivan, technical manager at Hexion, explains: “Our mobile yardramp was extremely secure but we wanted to eliminate as many potential hazards as possible, such as removing the need to connect chains to vehicles and running the risk of ramp and vehicle detaching during loading."

Hexion required an installation which fitted into its existing building and, as such, opted for a bespoke solution.

Thorworld designed and manufactured the bespoke fixed loading bay, which fits seamlessly into Hexion’s existing warehouse.  The bay is now fully operational and being used on a daily basis to support Hexion’s busy throughput.
