Manchester-based oven designer, RDM Industrial Services, has added Lanemark International's FD-C (GA) gas burner to its choice of heating systems.

The modular approach adopted by RDM for most of its oven designs, many under the Modulair name, enables equipment to be made for a range of sizes and capabilities.

This versatility is echoed by Lanemark FD burner systems - notably the FD-C and FDE models, and now by the FD-C (GA). All units are available across a wide range of gas input ratings.

The FD-C (GA) packaged burner provides flexible, high turndown control of both gas and air and uses the latest 'air pressure lead' monobloc gas valve technology. The concept allows changes in process heat demand to be transmitted directly to the burner by a modulating control signal, which then enables the speed of the burner combustion air fan to be varied, with the burner windbox differential air pressure increased or decreased accordingly.

Pressure changes are then transmitted to the master gas control valve, which simultaneously adjusts the gas flow rate, so a safe and efficient gas/air ratio is maintained at all times.

Accurate control is crucial and Lanemark's capability in this context, particularly in terms of offering high burner turndown ratios, helps RDM customers to maximise the effectiveness of their process operations by retaining temperature levels within tight parameters. Another benefit, says the company, is that gas consumption is minimised.
