AxFlow has introduced Wilden's full
stroke PTFE diaphragms for the
Advanced and Original Series airoperated
double diaphragm pumps.
The diaphragms are available for pumps in 25 to 76mm size range.
The increased stroke length of the new PTFE diaphragm is said to provide flow, suction lift and efficiency comparable to rubber and TPE diaphragms. Units also use the same shaft and hardware as Wilden rubber and TPE diaphragms, optimising performance and increasing part commonality.
The full stroke design of the new PTFE diaphragms is said to deliver enhanced performance for more challenging applications and to cope with temperatures to 104°C. The company says this is due to the increased product displacement per stroke, which translates into greater flow rates and higher efficiencies than those attained by AODD pumps using reduced stroke PTFE diaphragms.
