3M has launched a new range of fibre
discs which are said to offer benefits
in terms of productivity, throughput,
comfort and grinding speed across a
range of abrasive applications.
3M Cubitron II Fibre Discs use 3M precision-shaped ceramic grain technology, with ultra-sharp fastcutting points. Each disc features triangular-shaped grain, electrostatically oriented to form sharp peaks which slice through metal, wearing evenly and providing long life and consistency at any grinding pressure.
The range comprises 987C discs for stainless steel and 982C for carbon and mild steel. Each is available in 36+, 60+ and 80+ grades, providing a complete solution for removal of weld, mill scale, surface imperfection, bevelling and edge chamfering.
