Spirax Sarco shows its continued commitment to world-class training with the opening of its UK Steam Technology Centre which has a fullyoperational steam system with SCADA control.

Using the latest steam control technology, the training rig will showcase modern approaches to process control, energy efficiency and carbon impact. SCADA linked systems allow delegates to observe all aspects of the boiler house and steam system design in real time.

The rig can also be used to demonstrate the latest steam to hot water technology to help steam system operators that work with Spirax Sarco specify an appropriate system for their installations.

The centre's courses offer handson experience that provides 'realworld' training, leading to formally recognised qualifications.

Roger Glassonbury, customer training manager, comments: "Properly trained staff can add real benefit to a company's bottom line, as they are more aware of the energy saving and environmental aspects of steam plant, as well as learning how to do the job safely and gaining new skills." A 2012 training course brochure is available: www.spiraxsarco.com/uk
