Coolmation has completed a turnkey cooling project for Glastonbury-based, Avalon Plastics which is projected to deliver energy savings of £68,000 per annum. The new system takes advantage of free cooling afforded by the UK's own weather conditions and uses Rhoss Adaptive Function Plus (AFP) control technology to keep running costs as low as possible.

Not only will the system maximise its own efficiency, it will maintain peak machine productivity at the company's new injection moulding shop. As an added advantage, the Coolmation solution provides sufficient versatility to meet varying production demands and meet projected future growth in plant capacity. Coolmation supplied two high efficiency Rhoss aircooled water chillers for mould cooling, dry air cooler for free cooling, an adiabatic cooler for hydraulic cooling, a weir tank, process and circulating pumps, control cabinets, cabling and the necessary insulated stainless steel pipework.
