The Precision Technologies Group
will be out in force at MACH 2012,
with PTG Heavy Industries
(incorporating Binns & Berry and
Crawford Swift), Holroyd Precision,
Precision Components and PTG
Customer Care all present at the
NEC.
Friction Stir Welding technology is poised to be PTG's star attraction, especially in the light of the successes the company has enjoyed recently in China. A third order has been received from Zhu Zhou Locomotive for a 30m x 4m gantry Crawford Swift 'Powerstir' FSW machine head and control system, in a joint project with China Friction Stir Welding Centre.
Operations director Andy McCampbell says: 'It seemed entirely appropriate to showcase our Friction Stir Welding capabilities at Mach given the show's remit to promote the skills of UK manufacturing on a truly global stage." Stand 5630
