The cylindrical shape of the CY-100
photoelectric sensor series from
Panasonic Electric Works, together
with the many models in which the
sensors are available, make them well
suited to handle a multitude of tasks.
The sensor was designed for industrial environments; the user can choose among the following types: Thru-beam type with a sensing distance of up to 15m; retroreflective type with a sensing distance of up to 4m; retroreflective type with polarization filter and a sensing distance of up to 2m; and diffuse reflective types with sensing distances of up to 100 or 600mm. The availability of a wide range of models means the CY-100 sensors can solve relatively complex tasks.
One such example is the ability to recognise reflective objects thanks to integrated polarisation filters. The side view type makes applications possible in cramped spaces. All models have an M18 male thread for easy and quick mounting.
