The new PiezoBeam accelerometers from Kistler Instruments come in single axis and triaxial types, both of which have high sensitivity, low noise and high dynamic ranges.

Available in three ranges of ±5, ±10 and ±50g, all with a TEDS option, they are suitable for a variety of applications, such as modal analysis of thin walled structures, where small size and low mass are advantageous.

The ceramic PiezoBeam and integral low noise charge amplifier provide a proportional high level voltage signal at an output impedance of less than 500O. The sensing element design is said to provide outstanding amplitude and phase response over a wide frequency range. The welded titanium housing, 10.5mm cube for the single axis and 12.5mm cube for the triaxial, has a single tapped mounting hole but may be mounted on any of the three faces.

When ground isolated mounting is required a mounting clip or adhesive mounting adapter may be specified.
