A handy temperature transmitter has
been introduced by ifm electronic.
The new TP temperature heads complement the original 0 to 100°C with three further temperature spans of -50 to 150°C, -50 to 300°C and 0 to 300°F; the 0 to 100°C variant can be supplied with an alternative 0 to 10V output. ifm says its TP temperature plug can be used to replace cumbersome, leaking boxes.
It uses the latest in electronics and connector technology and is said to need less space and to cost less.
ifm electronic already supplies type TT or TS Pt 00 and Pt 1000 temperature pickups with integral M12 connector. That probe can now be plugged directly into the TP which will send the measurement as a 4 to 20mA or 0 to 10V signal back to the panel, via an M12 sealed connector.
