Primarily intended for use in the
wind energy sector, the TWHC is
SPX Bolting Systems' additional line
of square drive torque
wrenches.
There are hundreds of bolts in each wind turbine and typically contractors are working 24/7 to erect turbines. The company says many standard hydraulic torque wrenches are not built for continuous duty (a maximum of 10,000 cycles). The TWHC has been tested in excess of 30,000 cycles and is designed to cope with the rigors of the outdoor ensvironment.
It is highly-resistant to corrosion in harsh environments, both on and offshore due to top grade materials and a nickel coated finish. Its compact nose radius allows the tool to fit in tighter, hardto- reach spaces.
Ease of use is enhanced due to its low weight, optional carry handle and multiposition, high-flow swivel manifold; an operator can manoeuvre the hoses into almost any position.
