Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) is the widely-accepted practice of physically locking-off energy sources with safety padlocks and devices to prevent the accidental operation of dangerous machinery.

However, as Master Lock points out, it takes more than just a padlock to create a safe working environment.

Recognising the importance of the safety process, Master Lock Services was launched last year to review customers application of lockout and to recommend a structured plan for safe isolation procedure. The package takes a three-step approach to delivering a safety system that is both effective and workable.
