Optical level monitoring
05 August 2013
EGE offers a range of optical sensors for monitoring fill levels of liquid media, irrespective of conductivity or dielectric constant.

The units use a proven infrared light method: during immersion, the refractive index around the sensor tip changes. The sensor continuously analyses the reflected infrared light and uses it to actuate the switching output. This method requires no adjustment to the liquid.
Amongst the range, the cost-efficient UFS 075 is made from stainless steel and features a robust polythersulfone (PES) tip. Units are available with any sensor length between 60 and 1000mm.
