Fulfilling floor flatness demands

09 October 2013

VNA floor grinding expert, Concrete Grinding (CG), has successfully completed projects to meet various international floor flatness specifications in Spain.

The client, a global specialist in energy management, operated Jungheinrich Trucks – EKX and EKS models, some narrow aisle and order picking trucks at its Barcelona facility. Working in collaboration with Eurostick, its partner in Spain, CG ground a total of 1004 linear metres and the client was so impressed that it asked CG to grind a further 155 linear metres.

To meet the client’s deadline, CG despatched three teams, operating two laser grinders, one team working during the day and two teams working at night. In total 22 aisles were ground whole aisle widths to VDMA guidelines. As the top height of the racking was 9.1m, CG had to grind to Fx number 388.

The team then went on to work for another client in Zaragoza, Spain, where they ground five aisles (total 135m) to DIN 15185>6m specification. The client was converting an existing empty warehouse to narrow aisle.
