Using its cost calculator, Nilfisk has documented a case study with Craftsman Tools in Otley.

Like many traditional manufacturing companies in the UK it relied heavily on the broom and scrubbing brush to keep their factory floors clean. Once a week 2 men using brooms, scrubbing brushes and a wet vacuum would thoroughly clean 10,000ft2 of shop floor. It took a total of 10 men hours and consumed 125L of water.

After installation of a Nilfisk SW750 sweeper and BA551 pedestrian scrubber dryer with integrated Ecoflex detergent system, a weekly cost saving of £89.95 or 49% was realised, equating to an annual saving of £4677.00. With equipment costs totalling £6151.00 the initial payback period will be as little as 16 months, an excellent return on investment.
