Walk behind sweeper

25 February 2014

Nilfisk has launched a walk behind sweeper that is said to have outstanding productivity and a host of time-saving features.

All one touch controls have been designed to be used from the operator position. Central to the ergonomic design is the intuitive dashboard that includes an hour run meter, battery level indicator and low voltage cut off.

The new SW900 is available in battery and petrol versions and has a productivity rate of 2230m2/h. On board chargers come as standard with the battery version.

The main broom allows for a working width of 600mm, while the optional left side broom extends cleaning to 1050mm and can be operated from the handlebar.  The handle itself is foldable for ease of storage and transportation.

The 60L hopper is wheeled, allowing the operator to easily pull it off the machine and transport to the tipping point without getting dirty.

A simple turn of the key activates the main broom and vacuum fan. The electric driven side brooms can be activated whilst the sweeper is in use and will only rotate if lowered. The key switch mechanism protects against operation from unauthorised users.

The Nilfisk ‘no-tools’ concept is continued within this machine design meaning brooms and filters can be changed without the use of tools. The new electric filter shaker system saves filter cleaning time and improves productivity. Simply opening the sweeper cover gives full access to all components for easy inspection and low cost maintenance.

Large grey non marking tyres allow the sweeper to be used to sweep large areas of carpet as well as hard floors, while a wet sweep by-pass function means that the SW900 can sweep through a puddle of water without wetting the filter.
