Hand safety improved
29 November 2013
Addressing an upward trend in minor hand injuries, sheet steel stockist, Uptonsteel, turned to Globus to help improve the safety of its operators.

Two gloves from the Globus glove portfolio were identified as being suitable for the hazards faced; the Showa Best Aegis HP54 with level 5 cut resistance (EN388) and the multi-purpose Showa Best 350R for general handling.
Over a period of twelve months, the hand accident rate has dropped significantly and the Aegis HP54 glove is lasting up to six times longer than the previous rigger gloves used.
