Crown expands presence in Spain
29 April 2014
During the last few years, materials handling company, Crown, has been steadily developing its share of the Spanish market, opening a company-owned retail facility in Valencia in 2011, a dedicated Spanish head office in Madrid in late 2012 and now a branch office in Barcelona.

Alfonso Valderrama, general manager of Crown in Spain, comments: "The Catalan region accounts for about a quarter of the Spanish market for electric forklifts by volume. Our new facility in Barcelona, combined with our in-depth knowledge of the local market, means we can respond very precisely to our customers’ on-site needs."
Crown offers a comprehensive range of rugged lift trucks, tailored finance and maintenance packages, plus on-site support.
A large proportion of the Crown lift trucks sold in Spain are made in Germany. Crown’s service organisation in Spain is supported by the company’s new Parts Centre near Munich. From the new facility, Crown makes overnight deliveries throughout Europe, shipping parts directly to its service engineers’ vehicles or to end-customers in many cases.
Ken Dufford, vice president Europe at Crown, described the company’s expanding retail and services network in Spain, adding "Although the Spanish economy is still in recovery, we’re convinced that the country’s economic situation will continue to improve. Our third facility in Spain brings us even closer to our customers and gives us the structures we need to keep pace with the growth of this expanding market.”
Crown will be exhibiting at SIL, the International Logistics & Material Handling Exhibition in Barcelona, from 3 to 5 June.
