LS Starrett specialises in the development and production of advanced band saw blades to consistent quality, offering exceptional material cutting performance and longevity. Two of the latest product developments fall into the company’s Advanz saw blade range. Both the new Starrett Advanz MC5 and Advanz MC7 feature carbide tipped teeth designed to make multiple chip cuts.
Advanz MC5 offers fast, precise cutting and an excellent surface finish. The ground teeth with positive rake angle have exclusive geometry that produces five chips during the sawing operation. Suited to non-ferrous metals and castings the new blade provides cost saving benefits for production cutting.
For higher productivity and longer life when cutting hard materials the positive rake teeth on the MC7 blade feature exclusive geometry progressively ground trapezoidal cutting faces that produce seven chips.
