Welding headtop
20 June 2014
Scott Safety has introduced a new welding headtop – facial and respiratory protection for professionals in the welding industry.

CE certified to EN12941 TH2 & and EN175, the compact designed FH4 flip up welding headtop provides advanced protection from flash burn, ultraviolet light, sparks, infrared light and extreme heat protection caused by a wide variety of welding applications.
Compatible with Scott Safety Proflow 160 and Tornado powered respirators, both of which are available with particulate, gas and combination filters it provides effective protection against respiratory hazards encountered in welding applications.
The fully adjustable ratchet headgear mechanism ensures an optimal fit with an ergonomic comfort pad that sits just below the occipital bone .The headtop’s soft, pliable materials fit around the face contours enhancing comfort for heavy work when worn for extended durations.
The re-designed head cradle is pivotable so that the user can quickly ‘flip up’ the visor after welding. The visor can then be securely locked in the upright position if required and easily pulled down in one simple movement.
Available with a choice of Auto Darkening Filters (ADFs), the FH4 also allows the wearer to set their shade parameter preferences according to their individual needs. There is no requirement for battery replacement in the ADF filter, resulting in less downtime and increased productivity. The easily replaceable polycarbonate spatter lens is also purposefully designed to minimise through-life costs for the user.
