Shortlisted in two categories
29 September 2014
Voiteq, known for its Voice-Directed Work solutions, has been shortlisted with its customer Kellogg’s in the 18th European Supply Chain Excellence Awards. The project was entered for both the Technology and Consumer Product categories, and made it to the final stages in both areas.

The panel judged the entry on its differentiation as well as five core disciplines including: strategy; performance management; processes; organisation and collaboration. Kellogg’s excelled in all areas and was able to report results of a 40% productivity increase against a target KPI of 10%, at its Norbert Dentressangle run site KW1 in Manchester.
"These awards mean a lot to the Kellogg’s ethos to execute with excellence through innovation and continuous improvement,” remarked Abzy Shaikh, head of UK & ROI distribution at Kellogg’s. "We are always looking for new ideas and better ways to service our customers. When we took this project on we knew we were trying something new, as were Voiteq; becoming finalists in the Supply Chain Excellence Awards demonstrates our innovation and excellence.”
"We’re delighted to have been nominated as finalists, we have worked very closely with Kellogg’s to make this project a success,” commented David Stanhope, CEO of Voiteq. "Voice-directed work, alongside intelligent Volumetric Cubing is one of the first of its kind and is truly innovative. We have been able to use our VoiceMan Execution System to help Kellogg’s, and their third party logistics provider Norbert Dentressangle, to build the ‘perfect pallet’ resulting in increased productivity, decreased overheads, lower Co2 emissions and most importantly even greater customer service.”
About the project:
Kellogg’s saw a growth in individual case pick assembly requirements which created the need for innovation through the use of Voice-directed picking combined with volumetric, weight and layer size master data. The Voiteq VoiceMan solution cubes and groups products into the appropriate customer specific pallet stack, ensuring they are picked and built correctly and transportable to stores without compromising product integrity and within tighter delivery lead times.
