Maintec 2015: Back with a bang

25 September 2014

Maintec 2015, which takes place from 24th to 26th March, 2015 at the NEC, Birmingham, is back for its 40 edition. In the events industry that is a major landmark, however, all the signs are that the 2015 show will have even more reasons than this to celebrate.

Building on last year’s clever complementary show strategy, Maintec will run alongside three co-located shows including a brand new event – the Cleaning Expo 2015, which will include the Healthcare and Hygiene Expo and Street Cleaning Expo. This event allows the key industry decision makers from across the UK to meet, buy and network at the UK's biggest Cleaning Event.

Its second co-location is Facilities Management – currently the UK’s only event for the facilities industry outside London – a neat fit as many Maintec visitors also have a wider FM remit. The Health & Safety Event, which is run by a leader in the health and safety sector – Western Business Exhibitions will also return for its second year rounding off the clever co-locations. These compatible events highlight the dedication Maintec has to both its visitors and exhibitors, providing an educational and well attended industry event.

Katie Morhen, Maintec event manager, comments: "Maintec is returning for its 40th year and it is going to be bigger than ever, offering more to both our exhibitors and visitors. I can’t wait to feel that familiar buzz once the doors open and see what technologies, innovations and ideas are on show for 2015. With four complementary shows under one roof there really has never been a better moment to attend or exhibit at the show.”

Exhibitors

Maintec reports that an impressive 65% of 2014 exhibitors rebooked stands for this year’s show whilst still on site. As a result Maintec 2015 already has a major array of exhibitors including Hormann UK, Pruftechnik, Thermaflue, Grundon Waste Management, Keytracker, Idhammar and AV Technology.

Paul Geoghegan, director of Xetec, explains why his company rebooked: "We were very happy and pleased with the volume and quality of leads generated at Maintec.” Ashley Thomas, marketing manager of Probe Technical Recruitment, agrees: "We have been exhibiting at Maintec for years and have always been impressed by the contacts we make and the business we receive.”

Maintec 2015 will as always play host to numerous product launches. Most will not be unveiled until nearer the show, but RMS Reliability has already confirmed that it will be using Maintec to present its new web-based learning series, iLearnReliability. It is designed to help industrial plants establish sustainable reliability improvement programs, via four training modules aimed at upper management, reliability and engineering managers, condition monitoring technicians and mechanics, and plant floor operators and craftspeople.

SGS Baseefa will also be using the show to present its certification services and training materials, whilst also offering trained experts to answer any questions visitors might have about certification of explosion protected equipment.

Show floor entertainment

Visitors will have plenty of learning opportunities at Maintec 2015, including a return of The Exchange, a selection of free content-rich practical talks full of the latest research, new innovations and case studies exploring the hottest topics, challenges and trends. There will also be a return for The Business Strategy Forum, which will include sessions from expert speakers and major industry names.

There will be additional showfloor entertainment in the form of show favourite, Lions’ Lair, which will be returning to Maintec with brave exhibitors presenting their latest innovations and concepts to a panel of experts, in front of a live audience, in a bid to be voted best of show.
