Tecmach post lift in loading bay

10 November 2014

Tecmach post lifts can be used in loading bays where the site does not allow a pit or where only a shallow pit can be built.

The company can provide units with capacity to 3000kg and platforms to 3 x 2m, using 240V single phase power supply. Gates and guarding can be tailored to the needs of the customer and constraints of the site. Units are designed to be used outside, and servicing is quick and can be completed in the lift in the lowered position for safety.

An underground loading dock in the City of London required a lift to take trolleys from the loading area roadway level to the loading dock level, a height of 1200mm and a capacity of 1000kg. There was an existing shallow pit and the platform was designed to fit the existing aperture. Tecmach installed its model TPL-10/120-1C, 1000 kg capacity, 1200mm stroke lift, with wheel stop, 80mm lowered platform height. The self-contained lift is mounted against the dock.

The unit was delivered fully assemble and craned into position even though the headroom is less than 3.3 m.
