Packaging acquisition

This market-leading brand complements Southgate’s current portfolio, and will be extended to cover a wider range of related packaging products.

It is the latest of several key acquisitions made by Southgate. In 2012 they bought the UK operation of strapping company Jaeger Packaging, followed in 2013 by the purchase of Acculyte, whose Stickfast hotmelt glues and glue applicator brand has now been incorporated within the Xtegra brand of security packaging products.

Commercial director Charles McIntyre said that this coincides with the imminent completion of another strategic acquisition that will support the group’s vision to be "the principal and first-choice provider of packaging solutions to distributors, known and trusted for exemplary service and high quality, innovative products that provide exceptional value".
