Comfortable working environment
04 October 2015
Specialist engineering service company, Universal Engineering, turned to Nortek Global HVAC to ensure a comfortable working environment in its new multi-million pound centre of excellence.

Taking into account local climate conditions, the commercial activities involved and the structure and overall layout of the building, Nortek Global HVAC designed a heating and ventilation (HVAC) solution using Nor-Ray-Vac continuous radiant tube heaters.
Purpose designed to deliver uniform heat coverage over the entire floor area, Nor-Ray-Vac systems can also be configured to provide differing levels of comfort in distinct zones.
Nortek worked closely with M&E contractor JW Morris to achieve distinct temperature requirements in 19 defined work areas, each controlled by a SmartCom Controller. The Nor-Ray-Vac system delivers real flexibility and will help Universal Engineering reduce its overall operating costs by achieving energy savings of up to 60% when compared with conventional heating systems.
