Rack-clad automated warehouses
08 January 2016
Jungheinrich’s Systems & Projects Division has provided a turnkey solution for global healthcare company, Grifols – completing two highly automated rack-clad warehouses at the heart of the company’s new worldwide operations in Dublin.
One of the new warehouses is a -35°C cold store standing 21m high; the other is a 5°C structure that reaches 31m at its highest point. Both installations came under Jungheinrich’s remit and were specifically designed as rack clad structures.
Jungheinrich was responsible for the installation of the racking, insulated cladding panels, stacker cranes, conveyor systems technology and the warehouse management system – which is bespoke to meet Grifols’ specific requirements.
