Inspection camera adds remote focus
28 June 2016
Crimson Industrial Vision has launched the latest version of the Visio Probe 3000 camera system with significant new features. It is now available with three different 45mm pan/tilt camera heads – two of which feature the latest in remote focus technology – and new for summer 2016 is a 28mm diameter forward view camera including remote focus.

This means that all options now feature this technology. Supporting the launch are a range of new accessories such as a rugged back-pack, enabling inspectors to scale ladders and gantry systems to reach their inspection points with ease, knowing that the battery-powered system can last up to 4 hours.
The Visio Probe system has interchangeable inspection camera heads on a common cable and controller. The original system featured fixed focus cameras with a 25mm diameter forward view camera and a 45mm diameter pan/tilt camera. The latest version has added to these options with two new 45mm diameter cameras – one designed for general inspection with an 80° field of view, and the second designed for more detailed inspection with a 30° field of view. What sets both these new camera apart is their ability to be focussed remotely using the latest in liquid lens technology to keep the packaging compact.
Paul Sacker from Crimson Industrial Vision, comments: “These new camera heads have had an immediate impact with our customers. The image quality and their small size allows inspections to be carried out in tighter spaces”.
