Chain company opens new doors

Donghua, located in the heart of the Midland’s historical chain industry, moved to larger premises on the same industrial park in August. The new building was officially opened by Bob Wellsbury, MD of Donghua, and members of his UK management team together with colleagues from the Netherlands, Hungary and Germany. 

Donghua’s new building boasts a 25,000ft² warehouse that can hold over 2000t of chain, complete with new loading bay and additional Kardex shuttle unit for storage and retrieval of small components. The Universal Attachment Chain and Bespoke Chain workshop has been enhanced further to meet demand and an etching machine for sprockets has been added.

Speaking about the company’s growth over the last seven years, Bob Wellsbury said: “One of our biggest strengths is we only sell to distribution and OEMs and do not supply direct to end-users."
