Handheld communicator helps boost maintenance efficiency
06 April 2017
With the aim of helping to keep plant assets available and producing revenue, Emerson Automation Solutions will be exhibiting its latest asset management technologies and services at Scotland Works. This includes the new AMS Trex Device Communicator, a rugged handheld communicator that enables technicians to easily solve complex device issues without the need for other specialised tools.

Trex Communicator provides a user experience similar to that of a consumer device, but in a rugged, intrinsically safe package, built to withstand harsh industrial environments. The graphical user interface makes device and loop diagnostics easy to understand and field activities easier to complete. It includes built-in functionality enabling it to power devices, which means users don’t waste time searching for a power supply or confirming loop resistance. On new projects, this functionality saves time by enabling device configuration to be performed before power and I/O infrastructure are in place. Stand M14
