Intrinsically safe connection enclosure
24 April 2017
Hansford Sensors has launched a new intrinsically safe connection enclosure for industrial and process vibration monitoring.

The HS-ICE enclosure provides a compact, self-contained terminal to take readings from accelerometers via portabledata-collectors. The multi-channel unit can be configured from 1 to 24 channels, allowing readings to be taken quickly andsimply from a central point.
The enclosure is made of stainless steel and sealed to IP66, so maintenance teams can have peace of mind that theconnectors inside are safely protected from the ingress of dust and moisture. Importantly, the HS-ICE unit is both IECExand ATEX certified, making it compliant with the latest rules and regulations for hazardous environments.
Commenting on the launch, Chris Hansford, managing director of Hansford Sensors, said: “The new HS-ICE further expands our range of intrinsically safe equipment and is essential for maintenance teams overseeing condition monitoring programmes in hazardous areas. It’s safe and compliant, with the multi-channel capability in a single, compact unit helping to improve productivity and the reliability with which data can be captured.”
