Export sales drive growth
07 August 2017
A rapid increase in export orders is driving continued expansion at Hansford Sensors, the manufacturer of high performance industrial vibration sensors and systems. The company’s overseas sales are growing at over 20% year on year, leading to a further increase in the company’s production facilities at its UK headquarters in High Wycombe.

Hansford Sensors recently celebrated its tenth anniversary with a record year, with revenues and production volumes reaching an all-time high. Managing director, Chris Hansford, explains: “In recent years – and certainly since the Brexit referendum – we have devoted considerable time and effort to developing our export business. We now have a network of sales partners around the world, including wholly or partly owned subsidiaries in America, India, Germany, Central and Eastern Europe, and Australia. As a result, our export sales have grown dramatically, and now account for over 85% of our business.”
This rapid growth has led to the expansion of the company’s production facilities, with the sales and administration offices being relocated to a new build area and the space converted to production areas. These include extended test and development, quality control and assembly departments, totalling an additional 2,000 square feet of space.
