Simple valve feedback
27 January 2018
More valve feedback ideas have been launched by ifm electronic. The IND range is designed to fit neatly onto the ISO standard mountings of a pneumatic actuator. The target puck sits on the shaft and gives not only visual indication but also offset metal targets for the two inductive coils built into the sensor. LED’s on the sensor additionally show an open or closed position of the valve.

ifm electronic has recently added new models to the range with the latest addition being the IN0131. The IN0131 operates on 20 to 250V AC or DC, giving two separate signals depending on valve position. The robust and weatherproof housing also includes terminals for connection of the solenoid control signals. The whole assembly of sensor and puck is used in place of a much larger switch box, and is far better protected.
Also new to the range is a series of mounts to directly attach the IND feedback system to manually-operated valves. These adjustable mounts allow the user to simply add feedback to valves that so far have none, even in ATEX areas, using the whole range of ifm feedback sensors.
ifm is committed to working closely with its customers to develop products which precisely match their needs, and the company provides expert, readily accessible technical support to help users maximise the benefits they gain from ifm products.
