Sensing electrolyte spills

26 April 2018

A tray monitor has been introduced by Philadelphia Scientific to help eliminate battery tray failure.

The first time you know you’ve got electrolyte in the bottom of your battery tray may well be when a hole appears in the side, or worse, you get acid leaking onto the floor.

Once the tray fails, battery – and maybe even the truck itself – is put out of action and a service engineer is needed. Having an area of a warehouse cordoned off whilst acid is removed from the floor, repairing and repainting it can really affect output.

Philadelphia Scientific's SmartBlinky tray monitor is an award-winning, simple and cost effective solution that senses electrolyte spills and alerts you before there is damage to the battery tray. Clear warning lights mean you can address the problem before it’s too late, saving time and hassle.
