Rigorous standards met by shutter
02 July 2018
The shutter pictured here is from Hart Door Systems and delivers 60-minute fire resistance to match the requirements of a major London airport.

The shutter, which is positioned over a conveyor, is part of an order for 27 being installed in two terminals. A Hart spokesperson says the shutters comply with rigorous standards required by the client and have a galvanised finish. They interface with fire operating systems and conveyors.
Hart’s shutters deliver from 30min to 4h fire resistance, subject to customer requirements, building regulations and insurance requirements. The British Research Establishment LPCB department has tested, assessed, certified and monitored Hart’s range of fire roller shutters which can be manufactured up to 10m wide and 7m high. ISO 9001 certification ensures production and installation are completed to all relevant standards including health and safety during manufacture and installation. A controlled labelling procedure ensures product identity, traceability and compliance.
