Conveyor firm expands to meet demand

07 February 2019

A record year in 2018/2019 has seen UPM expand its manufacturing base in Langley, Berkshire, add to its personnel and invest in an additional router to cater for the circa 50% increase in orders for its belt conveyors.

The belt conveyors operate on zero maintenance without the need to track or tension the belt and are used in all aspects of food processing and packaging, plus product handling in plastic injection moulding.

All aspects of manufacture are carried out in house including fabrication, allowing complete control of quality / inspection, and maintaining delivery promises.

UPM has also invested £50k in 3D mechanical solid modelling design software for creating 3D digital prototypes using the design and simulation of products to ensure an effective solution.

UPM says its philosophy is based on working in partnership with people, sharing its knowledge and experience gained over 35 years, accepting total responsibility for turnkey projects, operating to the agreed specification and to the customer's satisfaction.
