Dawson Shanahan, supplier
of cold formed and machined
components, is investing over
£0.75m in new grinding and
degreasing technology at its
factory in Potters Bar. The
investment is part of a long
term expansion programme
and comes at a time of
increased orders, especially
from the automotive
aerospace and medical sectors.
In particular, Dawson Shanahan will be investing in a CNC grinding centre, custom built in the UK by Coventry based E-Tech, plus component preparation and finishing systems, which together will form an integrated grinding cell; additionally, the company will be installing a high volume degreasing line.
The company recently acquired Floform, saving 12 jobs in Welshpool and creating a number of new posts in the local area.
