EnerSys to showcase ODYSSEY Batteries and smart battery monitoring technology at Transport 2026
30 March 2026
ENERSYS WILL showcase its latest battery technology for commercial fleets at Transport 2026. The event, which will take place at NOVA Spektrum in Lillestrøm, Norway, from 23-25 April, is expected to attract more than 14,000 visitors from across the transport and logistics sector.

Visitors can explore the ODYSSEY battery range at stand D04-38 in Hall D, where solutions designed for commercial transport fleets, cooling units and generators will be on display. ODYSSEY batteries are designed for commercial transport fleets operating in demanding climates such as Scandinavia, where extreme temperatures, alongside hotel loads and triple-shift operations, place significant demands on vehicle electrical systems.
Among the latest technologies designed to improve fleet performance is the ODYSSEY Connect battery monitoring system, which delivers real-time data to mobile phones or any other smart devices via Bluetooth. The system tracks State of Charge (SOC) and State of Health (SOH), allowing fleet managers and maintenance teams to identify potential battery issues early and help prevent unexpected vehicle downtime.
Designed to meet the heavy electrical demands of modern commercial fleets - which increasingly rely on vehicle batteries for onboard electronics, refrigeration units and driver comfort features - ODYSSEY batteries are engineered with Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology. They deliver high cranking power, strong resistance to vibration and high- impact shock, as well as reliable performance in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 60°C.
"Transport operators are under increasing pressure to maximise vehicle uptime and reduce schedule disruptions. Transport 2026 provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate how our ODYSSEY battery technology and intelligent monitoring system help fleet managers maintain reliable operation even in demanding environments and extreme weather conditions," said Sabine Lejeune, sales director EMEA Transportation at EnerSys.
Visitors to the EnerSys stand will be able to see the ODYSSEY battery range for truck, bus and utility fleets, as well as cooling units and generators. Technical specialists will also be available to discuss operational requirements and explain the long-term benefits of upgrading to ODYSSEY batteries, which include higher power, longer service life and lower total cost of ownership for commercial fleets compared with conventional lead-acid batteries.
