A new generation of its Selectiva battery charging system from Fronius is said to set new standards in terms of energy efficiency and battery service life. The three-phase Selectiva Plus D (7 and 14kW) chargers will be based on Active Inverter Technology. New to the range is the Ri charging process.

With the Ri charging process, once the charging plug is connected to the battery, the current charge level of the battery is permanently measured. This means that, regardless of how old or new the battery, its temperature and discharge level are monitored. The charger software uses this information to adjust individual charging phases.

The company reports energy efficiency benefits: Efficiency of the battery charging system is 93%.

Charging efficiency, as well as process efficiency from the socket to ground conveyor, each increase by up to 10%.
