GCE introduces SmartControl cylinder regulator

This straightforward, compact and lightweight designed regulator provides a steady gas supply and accurate pressure settings, as well as the safety and heavy-duty performance worthy of the GCE brand yet is priced competitively. SmartControl regulators are available for common cutting and welding industrial gases: oxygen, acetylene, propane, and argon/CO₂ mixes.

Applications

• The SmartControl for Oxygen applications provide accuracy of the pressure setting, which is an important factor for quality especially in combination with the high flow needed for cutting and strong preheating operations typical for Oxygen-only applications like oxyfuel cutting, oxyfuel welding and brazing.
• For Acetylene and propane applications traditionally used for oxyfuel cutting, welding, brazing, and heating, GCE’s SmartControl provides the safety features necessary for this powerful gas with its Safety Burst Pressure Relief Valve to identify and disperse impurities. 
• Argon/CO₂ shielding gas are the most common applications for GMAW welding. SmartControl provides the precision and accuracy of the shielding gas flow to create high quality welds.

Performance and Safety

Available for immediate delivery with one- or two-day lead time globally, the GCESmartControl is built for excellent performance and robustness, as well as uncompromised safety. Its integrated Safety Burst Pressure Relief Valve, which is located on the rear of the body, is designed to prevent end users from changing the factory setting. Its 54 mm diameter diaphragm is significantly larger than competitive regulators providing more flow stability. Its compact, durable construction saves costs related to services, spares and replacements. 

The SmartControl’s lightweight and ergonomic design provides easy handling and set-up. It features a standard horizontal bonnet and pressure gauge set up, compatible with all common cylinder valves, and its 50 mm gauges make it easy for operators to read pressure settings. A high contrast pointer provides better gas pressure clarity, an optimized pressure adjusting mechanism ensures accurate parameter setting and color-coded decals provide quick and easy gas identification.

Unencumbered by non-essential features, the regulator is built to withstand the rigors of harsh applications. The body is made of solid forged, high-quality brass, polished and chemically stabilised. And the zinc die-cast bonnet is protected by a double layer powder painting to provide a guaranteed corrosion resistance even in very aggressive environments.
