High speed and high resolution industrial camera

The hr342 with CoaXPress interface is SVS-Vistek's latest industrial camera. It is suitable for many demanding applications in automated quality control.
The Sony IMX342 sensor with 31 megapixels captivates is said to give an image quality that is far above standard in this range of resolution. Fixed Pattern Noise and Signal-to-Noise Ratio, too, are at the highest level. The result is excellent flatness and a very convincing dynamic range of more than 70dB.
The pixel architecture is the light-sensitive Sony Pregius 2 cell. For the pixel size of 3.45µm there is a good selection of high-quality, yet inexpensive lenses on the market.
With a frame rate of 35.4fps, the hr342 currently is said to be the fastest camera with the high-quality Sony IMX342 on the market. This is made possible by the new Sony SLS-EC protocol of the sensor and the CoaXPress interface. A clever implementation of the interface and a housing design with excellent heat dissipation ensure a low operating temperature which in turn is responsible for low noise.
The CoaXPress interface is more than just fast; it also offers long, thin data lines and a power supply for the camera via the data lines. CoaXPress offers many advantages. But if you can live with about 10% lower frame rate and need the flexibility of GigE, the hr342 with 10 GigE interface might fit your needs. It combines the flexibility of GigE with almost the speed of CoaXPress.
The CoaXPress version is already available as a sample for customers, the 10 GigE version will follow soon.
