How Does the Gateway Work?

The RGX Gateway is compatible with LENS Wireless-enabled Ventis Pro multi-gas monitors and Radius BZ1 Area Monitors. LENS Wireless, a peer-to-peer communication system, shares alarms and gas readings from connected instruments with the RGX Gateway. Using cell, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet, the RGX transmits real-time data to cloud-based iNet Now live monitoring software that sends alerts to key team members within seconds.

With RGX, safety managers can receive emails, SMS texts, and on-screen alerts from anywhere in the world when incidents occur.

Getting Started is Easy.

Connecting LENS-enabled equipment to the RGX Gateway is as simple as creating a LENS group and powering the equipment on. With everything powered on and in the same LENS group, the equipment will automatically connect with the RGX Gateway within range. Live monitoring can be up and running in minutes and typically doesn’t require IT assistance or someone to manage a complex wireless network.

Adaptable to Your Work Environment.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the portable RGX Gateway can go where the work is. With Zone 2 ATEX, IECEx, and China Ex hazardous certification and an ingress protection rating of IP65, the RGX Gateway can be used in hazardous environments as well as most weather conditions. Use the RGX Gateway for permit tasks that last hours, incidents that last days, or projects that last weeks thanks to its rechargeable 168h (7 day) run time battery. For longer, more permanent applications, the RGX Gateway is also compatible with a variety of external power supplies, allowing it to run indefinitely.

Configuration changes and firmware updates can all be applied automatically without having to remove the gateway from the field or connect it to a computer.
